DeskStretch
Idea
I find myself often saving or screenshotting shorts that teach me how to stretch. The messaging hook that always gets me is when it has to do with "undoing" the harm caused by sitting at my desk too long.
While I remember to use my standing desk, I only end up using it for about 15 minutes a day in a 8-12 hour work day.
Similarly, a couple friends use Eyeleo to prevent eye strain, with a reminder that pops up telling them to move their eyes from side to side.

There's a few other products like Eyeleo that are desktop applications that remind you to take breaks or do certain things.
I think, in a world where much of my work happens in a browser, someone should just build the Chrome extension version of this. Here are the features I'd consider:
- Allow the users to select certain bodyparts they want exercise reminders for–lower back, shoulders, hands/wrists, eyes, etc.
- Multitude of different stretches. Stretch notifications also link out to a specific video for someone to watch and follow.
- Set reminder frequencies and allow certain times to be blocked out
- Allow muting/skipping for focused deep work sessions or when you're screensharing
- Set reminder methods–pop up reminder, new tab reminder, et
- Allow logging that you've completed a "stretch" so you can track your progress
Distribution & Monetization
I don't really think it's worth monetizing this idea / I kinda just want it for myself. But if I were really looking to grow and monetize this...
I would probably try an outreach campaign to various "stretch" creators saying that you'll be linking out to their video and see if you can get a shoutout from them. Could probably do something paid here.
More importantly, I'd probably consider allow folks to create their own routines to share. That way, flexibility creators who are already growing like crazy on TikTok/IG Reels can link out to their specific routines. The extension's notifications are then to re-engage their audience and boost more views to older reels. Side note: I wonder what this does to the algorithm, since I imagine that, at scale, this would boost some older videos onto people's timelines.
You could probably also go with a free with ads vs ad-free route. Or use affiliate/sponsorships with other ergonomic brands. You could even pay other creators who bring in users to the app here too. Or, you could sell your own digital products to this audience (ie a stretching, posture, or ergonomics book).
