Idea #027 - Digital notepad and canvas with a built-in privacy mode
Scribble.sh

Ok this one is a bit unfair since I actually built it first.

And it's an idea that has been etched into my brain for years. So much so, that the first version I made was a project I would boast about on my college freshman resume.

The motivation behind the project comes from my own self-consciousness. I like to do my best writing on airplanes, GreyHounds, and the occasional coffee shop. But when there's someone sitting right next to me, I freeze up thinking they're going to be reading every single line of text I write.

I know folks usually will buy a privacy screen for their laptop, but I've always found them annoying to keep around. So instead, my solution is to have a digital privacy screen. Toggle it on and the text on your notepad changes to lines.

You'll still have a relative idea of what you're typing (and you'll still see red squiggly lines for typos for you to edit). And you could always toggle it off to give what you've typed a good read.

This v2 (since the college days) has a few quality of life improvements. One being that, since I really like TLDRAW, I've added it as a feature into here. And then there's also just extra pages you can create.

Anyway, that's it. Not sure I care so much for distribution on this one since I intended it to be for a user of one, but I guess... we'll see if any shoulder surfers ask me why I'm typing in horizontal bars instead of text the next time I'm tapping away on a plane.
